Prices on 190SL’s are completely insane these days. The car pictured is probably “worth” 200 grand.

In the summers, I often see a lovely 190SL in that same red in my work’s parking garage. The owner leaves it with the roof down (sure, it’s a secure garage, but that’s still a gutsy move) and the whole car has the wonderful patina of a vehicle that has actually been used all its life, rather than treated like a museum piece.

It’s wonderful to see a car as valuable as that actually being used and enjoyed.

Get a C4 UrS4/S6. Lots of room, plenty quick, super comfy. They also can be had for 3-5k. No traction control, drive by wire. Front and rear heated seats.
